'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' is my most anticipated movie of 2019, let alone all the time. I was more excited to see the third movie in a franchise then the 22nd movie in the Infinity Saga ('Endgame' was a close second) or the sequel to my favourite movie of all time ('IT: Chapter Two' is tied at second). Back in 2014, seeing all these posters for 'Godzilla' and not caring at all. I thought it was a dumb idea to remake Godzilla but it wasn't until watching the trailer that I came to release how cool Godzilla is and how much I wanted to watch that movie. Fast forward to the movie's release, I really wanted to watch it but my parents thought it was too scary for me (I don't know why I was 10 and Godzilla isn't scary). They ended up surprising me and taking me to it. Which I love them and thank them so much for.

After 'Kong: Skull Island' (★★★★) came out and went onto Netflix, I decided to watch it on my laptop in my bedroom (which is the worst way to watch a high budget monster flick) and I ended up really enjoying it, but not as much as 'Godzilla'. On July 21st 2018, the first trailer of 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' dropped. I remember watching the trailer on repeat. I was in awe of the effects on display, the perfect use of Clair De Lune and the intriguing plot and characters. The first time I watched it, it immediately became my most anticipated movie of 2019.

I can't wait to see what Michael Dougherty can do in the director's chair for this big budget monster flick. I'm excited to see how good Millie Bobby Brown is going to be in this movie given that she is fantastic as Eleven in 'Stranger Things'. That is why, throughout the month of May, I rewatched 'Krampus' (★★★★) first (yes I know it's a Christmas movie but it's the only movie directed by Michael Dougherty that I own), then the 1998's 'Godzilla' (½), followed by 2014's 'Godzilla' (★★★★) and then I finished off with 2017's 'Kong: Skull Island' (★★★★).
'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' comes out on May 30th and make sure you don't miss it!
