In almost every way 'Godzilla' (1998) fails, the reboot succeeds. I was never bored and nor did I think it was dragging on. The acting was great, the CGI has aged well and the script is solid.
Yes, Godzilla isn't in the movie as much as I hoped. But the scenes that he is in are the best of the film.
The final fight between Godzilla and the MUTOs was epic. That scene was worth all anticipation that was building up from the cuts away from the action and shots of the aftermath that we were given throughout the movie.
It was as good as I remember it being when I watched it for the first in cinemas with my Dad back in 2014.
Cannot wait until 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters'!

Godzilla is like a superhero. He may have saved everyone, but the city is still destroyed!
